Marissa Howard, MA, LCSW is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center. Marissa received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in Evidence Based Practices. Marissa has worked as the Lead Clinical Assessor for the Cognitive Behavioral Research and Treatment Program for eleven years. As Lead Clinical Assessor, Marissa has developed expertise in diagnostic evaluation and has managed teams of clinical assessors and undergraduate research assistants. Marissa is also a therapist in therapist in the clinic, specializing in contemporary evidence based practices for transdiagnostic difficulties including but not limited to Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Mood Disorders. Finally, Marissa created a Social Work Internship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and continues to provide clinical supervision today. Marissa is grateful for the opportunity to share her expertise in clinical assessment for the Center for Misophonia and Emotion Regulation.
